Jacques Diezi,

Jacques Diezi Emeritus Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology,Faculty of Biology and medicine, University of Lausanne. A doctor by training, Jacques Diez performs various clinical internships before joining the Institute of Pharmacology, University of Lausanne in 1967. From 1969-1971, he was a visiting assistant professor at Yale University. Back at the Institute of Pharmacology, he realizes his entire career as a teacher and researcher in the field of pharmacology and toxicology. He is co-founder of the Interfaculty Seminar in bio-medical ethics at the University of Lausanne. From 1995-2003, he was Vice-Rector of the institution in charge of student affairs and international relations. Sought by many Swiss, European and global expert committees, he takes the Presidency of the Swiss Expert Committe on Food Safety as of January 2006. Jacques Diezi is a member of several foundations and movements for peace.

 

Michelle ROSSIER, MD, Laboratory Online & Oncology Online Coordinator
Michelle Rossier received an M.D. from the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) and completed a MD thesis medical Department of Physiology of the University of Geneva. After a postdoctoral research fellowship, she held an assistant research physiologist position at the Department of Physiology, University of California, San Francisco. She then returned to the Institute of Pharmacology at the University of Lausanne, where she became a "maître assistant". From 1977 to 2006 she was Director of the clinical laboratories of Hematology, Clinical Chemistry and Microbiology at the Hospital of Morges, Switzerland. In 2001 she held the same position with Viollier Inc., one of the largest private clinical laboratories in Switzerland. She joined the HSeT core team in February 2006 to become a project coordinator for several HSeT projects.

Bernard ROSSIER, MD, Pharmacology & Toxicology Online Coordinator
Bernard Rossier, emeritus Professor and former Director of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology and former Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne, is presently leading a research group working in the field of hypertension. He is recipient of many international Prizes in the field of nephrology. He is a member of EMBO, the Academia Europaea, the Deutsche Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina, and is a Foreign Honorary member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is Dr. honoris causa of the University Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris.

Pascale ANDERLE , PhD, Statistics Online & Translational medicine & Entrepreneurship Master Coordinator
Pascale Anderle Pascale Anderle graduated in pharmacy from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ). After gaining a PhD degree in life science from the ETHZ she then worked for a year at Covance CLS, Geneva in the field of clinical trials. Later, she moved to the USA for a postdoc experience in the lab of Wolfgang Sadee at UCSF San Francisco and OSU, Ohio concentrating on absorption and genomics in the intestine. Afterwards, she joined the groups of Jean-Pierre Kraehenbuhl and Michel Aguet as postdoc fellow at the Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research (ISREC), partially in collaboration with the Nestle Research Center (NRC). The focus of her studies were on mucosal intestinal immunity and colon cancer and the use of genomics and in silico analysis. Being granted an EU project she moved to to Istituto Oncologico della Svizzera Italiana (IOSI, Bellinzona) as junior group leader and then upon being invited to join a NCCR project to the University of Bern. During this period she was granted a CAS in applied statistics.
She is now a project coordinator for Statistics Online and the coordinator of the Master of Translational Medicine & Entrepreneurship of the SITEM/INSEL Foundation and the University of Bern. She participates in teaching activities at the University of Lausanne and ETHZ.

Nathalie DEBARD, PhD, Immunology Online & Microbiology Online Coordinator
Nathalie Debard received a PhD. in immunology in 1996 from the University of Chatenay-Malabry (Chatenay-Malabry, France) and completed a post-doctorate in the laboratory of Jean-Pierre Kraehenbuhl at the Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research (ISREC; Epalinges, Switzerland).
She is now a project coordinator for Immunology Online and Microbiology Online the eLearning coordinator of a Diploma of Advances studies in nephrology. She participates in teaching activities at the University of Lausanne and in training sponsored by the World Health Organization.

Jean-Pierre KRAEHENBUHL, MD, PhD, CEO
Jean-Pierre Kraehenbuhl is the Chief Executive Officer of HSeT. He is emeritus Professor at the University of Lausanne, and was affiliated member of the Swiss Institute of Cancer Research (ISREC). He used to work on mucosal immunity and vaccinology. He was a co-founder of EuroVacc, a Foundation active in the development of HIV vaccines, He is a member of EMBO. He was the co- founder of OraVax, Inc, now part of Sanofi Pasteur. He is co-leader of OCTAVE, the Online Collaborative Training of AIDS Vaccine Evaluation.

Alain MEYSTRE, Animation Designer
Alain Meystre was trained as a silk screener. He worked in companies as industrial designer. In 2005 he joined the HSeT eLearning team as a Animation Designer in charge of 2D and 3D animations.
